【シンガポールAFP時事】1980年代のヒット曲「トゥルー」で知られる英バンド「スパンダー・バレエ」。
元ボーカル、トニー・ハドリーさん（59）の名前をクイズ番組で答えたのに、発音が悪いと不正解にされたシンガポールの男性が、ハドリーさん本人から「私の名前を呼んでいる」と認められ、22日に見事、正解者に返り咲いた。
シンガポールの鉄道職員ムハンマド・シャレハンさん（32）は最近、ラジオ局「ゴールド905」の「有名人名前当てクイズ」で不正解扱いされ、賞金1万シンガポールドル（約75万円）をもらい損ねた。しかし、別の回答者が同じ問題に正解して賞金を得たことに傷つき、ラジオ局に抗議。自分の回答の録音をハドリーさん本人に送った。
すると期待していなかった返事がハドリーさんから動画で届き「録音を聴いた。私の名前を正しく発音している」と認定。ラジオ局は22日、姿勢を一転して謝罪し、賞金も支払うと表明した
