So what's with the debate topic on the top scorer most of them are girls...so girls are more smarter than the guys...
Actually,such a discussion has already been out there long time ago till now.To me,i think most girls are willing to study and put in a lot of effort.This is definitely a fact...but things become differently when it came to a tertiary education when girls in polytechnic do not really perform.I think it is all about interest and it is the factor that lead to many things.
Probably girls like academic studies while guys will like to study something else other than academic studies.So when come to poly,it always the case of girls cannot understand what they learn regarding about the different skill and most guys actually understand it.Of course,i also won't deny that girls actually did better in exam for poly...but definitely not because they understand what they learn,is they just memorize whatever they learn in the book.
To me,i think the best way to study is definitely not by passing written exam or written test.Is passing a practical test by doing it yourself.Because out there when you work,will need to apply your skills on the work and not take out a paper and write down what you read before.
Therefore it is very important to study something that you like and not something you don't like.Not everyone is hopeless,is just that they got talents or skills they don't even know yet.I am a living example,i did so bad for my O level that i failed it.In people eyes,i am a failure.But i shine in ITE (people see me as a failure for going to ITE) and get to study poly.Its a long journey but still i am able to go poly where people also go.
So in the end,am i hopeless? Not at all and ITE is never "Its The End",its an opportunity for people who wish to do well and prove they are not hopeless.
