However, i found Sea Room by Nicholson (grandson of Vita Sackville-West) informative and interesting as it mostly dwells on the 3 small islands off the coast of Lewis. I've never been to Sissinghurst but would love to go. Victoria Glendinning, in her biography of Sackville-West, comments that on her bookshelves at the time of her death in 1962 were Havelock Ellis's Sexual Inversion (1897), inscribed by Harold Nicolson, a copy of Edward Carpenter's The Intermediate Sex (1908), and a heavily annotated copy of Otto Weininger's Sex and Character (1903).
