貧者の一灯 F6
釈迦が諸国を説法行脚されていた時、ある村にさしかかり、その地の王様はたくさんの灯をともし釈迦を迎え入れようとした。
もちろん、村人たちもそれぞれの灯をともし 釈迦を歓迎したが、一人の女はとても貧しくて灯火の為の油を買うお金すらない。
だが、どうしても 釈迦を心から歓迎したい一心で、自分の髪を売り そのわずかな金で灯をともし 釈迦にささげた。
それは 真心からの一灯であった。
王様の灯はほどなく消えたが、貧しい女の灯は 翌日になっても煌々と輝いていたという。
when BUDDHA was travelilng over provinces on foot, he visited one village.
the king there welcomed to BUDDHA with many lights. villagers also did.
one poor woman can't buy oil for light, however she realy wanted make a light
for BUDDHA.
and then she sold her hair to get money and gave one light with all her heart.
the king's light disappeared soon, but hers still kept brightly burning
even the next day.
