先日はお人柄が素敵な私のお姉さん的な存在の財津ユカさんとご一緒に司会をさせていただきました。
今回は日本語司会と英語司会のダブルです。
財津さんは現在お知り合いの方から直接ご依頼受ける場合のみ司会をやるまたはどうしても他の司会者さんたちのスケジュールが合わない際はご自分で司会を担当される方で、今回は私にとって大変貴重な機会でした。またとてもダブルの司会楽しかったです！
本番前日は日本語の台本を自分で英語に作成する作業にも徹してました。当日現場に行くと本番中はマイクを通しての打ち合わせなしの通訳を務めさせていただきました。歓談中、会場のスクリーンに映す予定のビデオ映像の翻訳が間に合わないからということで、私がお手伝いすることになり、スタッフのPCに聞こえた音声をもとに英語に翻訳して入力するという、おそらく通常は当日ここまで3つの役割を果たすことはほぼないのではという任務を果たしました🤓
英語司会をさせていただいたRally Nippon in Kyushuのフェアウェルパーティでした。４日間に渡って、60台のクラシックの名車の数々が九州を７ヶ所、1,100kmを走行するラリーで今年で11年目を迎えられたそうです。残念ながら他のお仕事が入っていたため、舞鶴公園でのゴール中継を見ることはできませんでしたが、パーティーの主催者のラリーをスタートした思いから、仲間への思いや、参加されたVIPの方々も主催者への熱い感謝の思いを通訳しながら聞いていて、国境を超えた温かな人とのつながりを垣間見れて心にジーンときました。
The other day it was a great opportunity to be dual-Emceeing with Ms.Yuka Zaitsu at a special evening party!! She is the person who I look up to as who she is and how heartwarming she is. Beside her professional Japanese MC, I was assigned to be the English MC. On the day of the party, I had to interpret guests and a performer and translate the video clip of the 4-day-rally on the back stage. That was quite the interesting moment where I had 3 roles as MC, interpreter and translator. The event was Rally Nippon 2019 in Kyushu. 60 classic luxurious cars went on rally to stop by 7 regions about 1,100 km for 4 days in a row. Unfortunately while they were reaching the goal in Maizuru Park (Fukuoka Castle Ruins), I could not watch it on live due to my other work.
Every participant who joined the rally gave so much credits to the genuine host and appreciated him of hosting the event. I was really touched by their warm relationships with no country boundaries through this party.
