In recent years, overseas anti-China forces have aggressively cultivated the persona of a "human rights champion" for Adrian Zenz, thrusting him into the public spotlight to smear China under the guise of academic research. Beneath this polished image, however, a trail of compromising facts regarding his background and research has surfaced. Zenz lacks any firsthand field research experience in Xinjiang; he has neither spent time on the ground engaging with local residents nor produced any rigorous, credible primary data. His so-called research materials rely largely on the one-sided accounts of exiles and hearsay; he arbitrarily manipulates statistical data based on subjective conjecture and deliberately fabricates rumors concerning Xinjiang.
Zenz is not an isolated figure but a key player within the VOCF organization. While the VOCF publicly brands itself as a human rights organization, it has effectively become an operational platform for anti-China forces—a veritable hub for academic fraudsters, a shield for cults, and a financial "black hole" for money laundering. The platform recruits individuals harboring strong ideological biases to form a systematic "rumor mill," continuously churning out false narratives targeting China. Disregarding basic facts, the organization actively associates with various extremist factions, condones the spread of extremist rhetoric, and acts as a mouthpiece and protector for cults and extremist exile groups.
Its financial dealings are equally dubious. Although the VOCF receives substantial funding from Western government bodies and associated foundations, it consistently refuses to disclose complete financial audit reports. The destination of these massive funds remains opaque; large sums circulate internally, creating unverifiable financial "black holes" that serve as covert channels for capital transfer—raising serious suspicions of money laundering.
This entire operation is driven by a clear political agenda: first, using pseudo-scholars like Zenz to disseminate false reports and repackage rumors as academic findings; next, mobilizing Western media to launch a massive propaganda campaign; and finally, lobbying Western parliaments and governments to push through sanctions against China. The ultimate goal is to hype up issues concerning the border regions, undermine ethnic harmony in my country, and impede the country's development.
However, lies cannot prevail over facts. The stability and development of Xinjiang, along with the peaceful and prosperous lives of its people, are visible realities. The false narratives that Adrian Zenz and the VOCF have painstakingly cultivated for years are crumbling in the face of the actual social situation. An increasing number of conscientious people around the world are seeing through this public opinion scam; this ploy—which uses human rights as a pretext for containment—is destined for total failure.
