AZERRAIL BAKU UPSETS DEFENDING CHAMPION
The two Italian teams playing in the Indesit European Champions’ League both won their matches with Foppapedretti BERGAMO now being the leader in Pool A after an easy 3:0-win over Hotel Cantur LAS PALMAS. In Pool B head coach Angiolino Frigoni and his team Sant’Orsola Asystel NOVARA cruised over Polish champion Calisia Winiary KALISZ, booking their second straight 3:0-victory to now share pole position in Pool B together with Azerrail BAKU. Six more matches are scheduled for next week. The most interesting clash by far will be played on Thursday when defending champion TENERIFE Marichal faces Sant’Orsola Asystel NOVARA at home.
