So I went to Starbucks a few hours ago, the one near my place.
A friendly barrista assisted me in buying a tumbler.
Thinking back now, I think both of us look funny - she talked to me in Japanese while
I answered back in English but then we managed to understand each other. (^__^)
Anyway, I bought a tumbler and salad wrap.
She explained something to me and I think it was something between the lines of free drink
if you buy and use your tumbler for the first time. So, I had green tea frap.
Then when it was time to pay, she charged me for the salad wrap only so I thought
maybe I have to pay for the tumbler separately, so I waited for a bit more.
But then she never asked me even after she gave me my free drink +tumblr.
So with my broken Japanese I went back to the cashier, pointed at my tumbler and said,
”あのう。。。せんにひゃくですね I need to pay for this.”
And it struck her that yes she didn't punch and charge me for it.
So we end up laughing at each other while she was saying "どうもありがとう".
I think she totally forgot about it since she had to explain lots of things to me ~
