I hate typhoons.
I hate floods.
Simply annoying for it disrupts my schedule.
But most of all I hate it when once car is stuck in the middle of the road during a typhoon.
By the way, my legs hurt.
Mom got stuck on the road just when she entered the subdivision.
The flood was thigh level, any car that dared to cross end up with their cars being pushed by bystanders.
Mom was getting fidgety waiting for the rain to subside so she asked me check her out.
Man~ it was . . . . horrible.
This was the first time I had to fight my way through a flood.
Dang! our neighbor subdivision.
Their water reservoir's end point opens up to our subdivision so normally it will flood us!
The water rush coming from each block was so strong
I was a bit worried of getting flushed to the opposite side,
which nearly happened if my legs weren't that strong enough to sustain the rush...
To make the long story short, I saw mom inside her car
parked on a nearby pavement that's a bit elevated a few inches from the flood.
I told her that an Adventure barely passed the flood awhile ago with a smoking back.
She was using the D-max so I said its up to her take the risk.
And she did.
Well, I didn't doubt that for a second, I got my stubborn nature from her.
And when she started the engine and gave it a suave shot,
I heard the bystanders who were ready to give her a push exclaimed their amazement
For 1 - the engine didn't die
And 2 - the driver was a woman.
When I got home, Snitch (my dog) was being clingy licking my feet and hand.
I guess he sensed that I was washed out by the flood.
Oh! Did I already told you that by the time I traced my steps back fighting the flood
(yup! I didn't ride home together with my mom because I was dripping wet)
I was panting so bad, gasping for air, and by the time I was in the safe, I was choking bad for air.
I told you, the flood was HORRIBLE and I didn't like the look of it.
