That young girl | 『 the Missing Piece 』

 『 the Missing Piece 』

- NO STORY SITS BY ITSELF -

That’s weird.

A young girl unexpectedly grabbed me by the arm at the mall and said,
“Ate (Onee-chan), you’re so pretty. Promise.”

I was stunned at her guts and stared at her.

Then she let go of my arm and she went off with her group of friends.

I don’t know.
But there is something naughty with her smile and remark.

Anyway, when I shared this to my mom and siblings. . .
These were their comments:

Mom: “Huh? Isn’t it supposed to be ‘you’re so ugly’ “

Me: “Ah. . .yeah! Thanks Mom.”

Younger Bro: “Oh! I thought I was just day dreaming when the kid said that.”

Me: O.o “Whatever~”

Younger Sister: “Maybe the kid was blind. She should see me.”

Me: O.o (shuts my mouth, defeated)

I understand they were just trying to be humorous but half of it is meant to be true.
That’s where my Inferiority Complex stems down.
I’ve always been considered as the Ugly Duckling in the family~

I have to love myself and work on my flaws to survive and avoid self-pity.
Though I’m considerate towards my friends or people other than my family I’m selfish at home.
I’m actually NOTORIOUS at home for being Ms. Selfish.
But I can’t really keep up to such façade
and eventually gives up to their demands in the end
(though an ENORMOUS amount of persuasion is needed to budge me).
