Phantom | 『 the Missing Piece 』

 『 the Missing Piece 』

- NO STORY SITS BY ITSELF -

I’ll stand firm to my belief that the Phantom (of the Opera) is not bad or evil.
He is just another misunderstood character whose obsession
for Kristine Daae’s affection drove him to the extremes.

His deformed features that made him gain the moniker, ‘Devil’s Child”
can be considered as one of the reasons why he was treated badly by the people at the carnival.
Their inhumane and brutal treatment drove him to fight back, worst, to kill.

From nothing, he became someone. A genius, an architect, composer, and a magician.
Yet he was still non existent to the rest of the world for he lived his life hiding in the dark
among the shadows of the Opera House. A genius turned madman as how Raoul puts it.

But he was just another lost soul. A lonely soul deprived of love and affection.

P.S.

The part where the Phantom sang his own version of
“All I Ask of You” during the “Don Juan” performance is HEART-WRENCHING.
It’s as if medium-sized needles were slowly piercing my heart.
I can’t help but emotionally sob.
