I was watching National Geographic Channel about a man’s search for his ancestors’ origin. He is an American but his ancestors were European.
So when mom got home I decided to ask her about my ancestors.
And from her story, I learned that my great grandfather’s parents were Spanish. He was a tall guy with blue eyes while my great grandmother was pure Filipino. Unfortunately, my great grandfather wasn’t able to pass his genes for blue eyes. Instead most of his children were brown eyed. But I wonder why my grandmother looks like Japanese like what most people say whenever they see her. The only prominent physical characteristic that is so Spanish about her is her nose.
On the other hand, my grandfather looks like a Chinese but then his parents were Spanish as well. So that explains why my mom’s complexion can be compared to milk with visible freckles on her face.
Now, when asked about my dad. She just said that the Morato came from Spain and that’s the only information I got from her about my dad.
I can see a common denominator among my ancestors. They’re Filipinos and Spanish.
P.S.
I hate my nose.
My mom pointed out that both my grandmother and grandfather have high bridged nose but with large nostrils.
And I just realized that my nose isn’t as high bridged compared to them but the nostrils is bigger than what its supposed to be to look proportional with its height(bridge of the nose).
now, this reminds me of Ruki-san.
