I think my job is quite complicated compared to a regular teacher.
In a classroom setting with 22 students 3 of them are special.
In my case I need to look after kids with:
- Mental Retardation
- Asperger's Syndrome (Autism) and
- ADHD (Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder)
These kids aren't difficult to deal with because they are high functioning.
They are actually smart and tell you they're fluent in the English language and doesn't talk in Filipino which is my native tongue.
They're quite smart its just that they have limitations in which I need to feel that gap like for example I need to modify their subjects for them to fully grasp it.
Actually the pressure in this work comes from the parents especially if they demand too much and if they get into the picture of the intervention I am trying to accomplish for their children.
