 『 the Missing Piece 』

- NO STORY SITS BY ITSELF -

I always pass by Festival Mall on my way to office (most convenient shortcut to Insular Life Bldg.) and would always drop by at the washroom (you know? Girl Thing). There was this young lady being indecisive on which cubicle she's gonna use. So I was a bit annoyed because she kept on roaming from one door to another blocking my way from this cubicle to another. I just let her because she got there first and because I thought she's gonna use the cubicle I'm approaching.

Then the 3rd door opened and a kid with Down Syndrome came out and looked at me. To my astonishment, as if she was aware of the impatience and exasperation building inside my nerves she told me, "Here! Use this".

I was stupefied and said, "Oh! Thank you dear!"

And while I reminisce that event, it made me realize something.

I want to go back teaching special kids. The ones with ADHD, Autism and Down Syndrome.

I think, teaching them is what suits me. . .
