Music is a
form of Art produced by Passion.Bits
and pieces of human emotions entwined and fashioned to express a deeply felt
sentiment. I may not be a first-rate critic when it comes to judging musical
score or whatsoever musical term you have there but I’m the sort of listener
able to appreciate good music. I love listening to Pachelbel, Bach, Mozart,
Enya, Gregorian Chant, Adrew Lloyd Webber compositions, Evanescence, Linkin
Park, Simple Plan, High-Standard, Eminem, the GazettE, Girugamesh, Ayabie,
xTRiPx and name all the Visual/Oshare Kei bands out there.I love music. And music is that one thing that hauls my mood up when I’m down and
depressed (well of course, with the exception of sweets and my own personal prayer).
Visual Kei
and Oshare Kei music is not that popular here in the Philippines yet there’s a growing
population of adolescents fascinated and attracted to this Japanese
sub-culture.Now, what angers my ego is
that there are people who look down and consider Visual Kei as something
nonsensical due to its flamboyant fascia; worst, for thinking that these
musicians are nothing but a pretty face. Of course, the latter had just sent me
into a fiery rage.
Now here’s
a piece of my brain cell, “Don’t judge a
book by its cover”.Doesn’t mean you
saw an Ugly Betty look-a-like she’s as clumsy or smart as she.You can’t consider an uptown girl walking
down the street as someone air-headed or brainy based on her looks alone. One must of course be acquainted with the
person skin deep.Same is true with MUSIC.Don’t just haughtily judge something out of
contempt or of your own prejudices in life.
