 『 the Missing Piece 』

- NO STORY SITS BY ITSELF -

I was assigned to observe and administer an interview and test to a 4th grader student this morning at the institution where I am taking my job training (educational setting). I must say, the case of this kid is ONE great challenge to me. I was preempted with information about how peculiar the child is yet to my astonishment, this kid is beyond the word "peculiar". I can't establish rapport since he is not interested to engage in casual conversation. Even establishing eye contact was impossible for him. He was so preoccupied with the paper he was folding while I was asking him for his name. With patience running out and dismay pilling up I did not proceed with the interview, instead, I told him to see me the next day at the Guidance Office for a tete-a-tete . Like a gush of wind, he went off without any verbal response or even a look at me..
