On 3/11, Japan faced the disaster: earthquakes and tsunami. We have lost countless people and communities, especially in northern region of Japan. Meantime, three nuclear energy plants in the region have ceased all functions and there are risks of radiation-contamination.
What can we do?
When a gentleman at the age of 80s was rescued 42 hours after the first tremor from wreckage of building, he told us “I'm alright. I even came through the tsunamis from Chile [in 1960], so everything gonna be alright. Yeah, let's just build it all over again!” On his face, there is a BIG SMILE.
SMILE!
We came across the idea. "Nippon", Japan's traditional own name contains the sound of "Ni", which means a big smile(like "say cheese!!").
Now, we are in the midst of the struggle. We have long way to go. So, we will need smiles to keep pushing forward, to revitalize our community.
Post your smiles ("Ni") to the wall to cheer up Japan!!
And, if you want to contribute to the suffering communities more, please donate from here
