今日は子供の日（Children’s Day）またの名を
端午の節句で、鯉のぼりを立てたり五月人形を
飾ります。英語で説明すると次の様になります。
Children’s Day is a national holiday（祝日）
and festival（お祭り）for children.
Families with boys put up carp streamer（鯉のぼり）
in the garden and display Gogatsu Ningyo in the room.
鯉のぼりの一番上は吹流し（pennant）で
次が真鯉（black carp representing father）、
その次が緋鯉（red carp representing mother）、
最後がsmaller carp for sonということになり
この鯉のぼりの如く力強く困難に立ち向かい
乗り切ろうという意味が込められている。
五月人形も問題に立ち向かう為の戦いの
衣装や道具をthree-level stepsの上に
飾ります。
