保護者向けのアドバイスが入っていると書きましたが
私なりに勝手に訳してみました。

Being able to read is the single most important predictor of whether or not your child will be successful in school and beyond. Developing
a love of reading doesn't usually begin in the classroom-it begins at home.

Here are some tips to help you and your chid get the most out of this collection:
⚫️Talk about the pictures. This will help your child begin to predict what the story is about and to see whether or not her predictions were accurate.
⚫️Read the story to your child first, sweeping your finger under-neath the print as you are reading. This will help your child understand the relationship between spoken and written language and left-to-right directionality.
⚫️Talk about the story after you've read it. Being able to connect to a story by identifying with the characters is an important strategy that enables readers to more fully understand and engage with the story.
⚫️Encourage your child to read the story on her own.
Children learn in different ways and at different speeds. Remember, successful readers have one thing in common: supportive, loving adults
who share books with them often to nurture a lifelong love of books, reading, and learning.

●本文の下を指でなぞりながら、まずお子さんにお話を読んであげましょう。お子さんが話し言葉と書き言葉のつながり、英語は左から右へ読む決まりなのを理解するのに効果的です。
●保護者の方がお話を読んだ後、内容についてお子さんと話してみましょう。登場人物になりきって読めることは、お子さんがお話を十分に理解し、入り込むことができるようにするための大切な方法となります。
●お子さんが自分でお話を読めるように励ましてあげましょう。

昔に比べてかなり英語力が下がっているので誤訳もあるかもしれませんが。。
