Next we will read Words in both 1TIMOTHY and ROMANS.
“I give you charge in the sight of God, who quickens all
things, and before Christ Jesus, who before Pontius
Pilate witnessed a good confession.”(1THMOTHY6: 13)
“But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you,he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also
quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwells in you.”
It is said that not to be raised up but, in more broad meaning,
either to give life or to make alive, think I here.
This word “quicken” (cini in Hebrew) is almost used in PSALMS of Old Testament. And almost all of them are translated in Japanese
(Sin-kyoudouyaku) as “to give life”.
In Jew of Old Testament era, the meaning of “to be raised up”
bly received as images of either “to be given vivid life” or “activity”,
didn’t they?
And then “to be born again” was firstly brought by Jesus. We,
human being, first knew after Jesus said “Except a man be born
again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.”(JHON3: 3).
But God consistently from old days has said that “I give you spiritual
life.” and “I give you raised up life”. In addition, God always said that I also give you life toward eternal life after your resurrection, didn’t He?
