Why  must we live in this world? (1)

Why  God makes live us, human being, in such an absurd world

where is full  of sorrow and suffering? When I read words and actions of Saul in  1SAMUEL of the Old Testament, I suddenly had a little

knowledge.

As  over the men of war of a king Saul, David won whithersoever

sent by  Saul. “The  women of Israel answered one another as

they played and said Saul had  slain his thousands, and David

his ten thousands.  And Saul  eyed David from that day and

forward.(1SAMUEL18: 7,9)

Saul  was afraid of David and intended to kill him. Saul said to

Jonathan  “For  as long as the son of Jesse lives upon the

ground, you shall not be  established, nor your kingdom.

Wherefore now send and fetch him unto  me, for he shall surely

die. (1SAMUEL20:31)

Jonathan  answered Saul his father, and said unto him,

Wherefore shall he be  slain? What has he done?

(20: 32)” Jonathan and David, too, wonder that did David such

something wrong or sin that David may be killed by Saul against him.

If  I say exaggeratedly, here I thought that the difference between

the  way of thinking of Christian and people in this world was

expressed.Saul seems to be anxious about the future of Jonathan

and his  families from bottom of his heart and soul. I thought for Soul

to  intend actually to replace status of king if he was in the position

of David. But David, and also Jonathan, had nothing of thought that

David will assault Saul to become king. Even when David, afterwards, had the chance for him to kill Saul, he did not stretch forth his

hand against Lord’s anointed.

In  this world, both circumstances and abilities given to us are

never  equal and during human history dispute or conflict always

continues. We have the feeling that the evils are rampant everywhere

in this  world. Many Christians must think why God leaves this world

in such  conditions alone. And why we must endure such an

absurdity.
