Summary - The mad titan Thanos (Josh Brolin) begins his hunt for the most powerful objects in the universe, the Infinity Stones, in this movie. With the Space Stone, given by Loki (Tom Hiddleston), and the Power Stone, Thanos sends (Ebony Maw, Cull Obsidian to retrieve the Time Stone from Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch), sends Proxima Midnight, and Corvus Glaive) to retrieve the Mind Stone from Vision (Paul Bettany). Meanwhile, Tony Stark (Robert Downey, Jr.) meets up with Bruce Banner (Mark Ruffalo) and sorcerers Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) and Wong (Benedict Wong). With help from Peter Parker/Spider-Man (Tom Holland), Stark and Strange join forces together and agree to stop Thanos. In space, Thor (Chris Hemsworth) also joins forces with the Guardians of the Galaxy, Star-Lord (Chris Pratt), Drax (Dave Bautista), Rocket (Bradley Cooper), Groot (Vin Diesel), Mantis (Pom Klementieff), and Gamora (Zoe Saldana), the daughter of Thanos who warns Thor of his power. Thor travels away to defeat Thanos with Rocket and Groot, while the other Guardians join forces with Stark, Strange, and Parker. In Wakanda, Steve Rogers (Chris Evans) and his team, Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson), Falcon (Anthony Mackie), Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen), War Machine (Don Cheadle), and Bruce Banner to protect Vision and the Mind Stone in his forehead. With protection given from King T'Challa/Black Panther (Chadwick Boseman), and his Wakandan army, Thanos will come for everyone to destroy half the universe.

Avengers Infinity War is the spectacular culmination of 18 previous movies over 10 years that exceeded my expectations! As someone who has followed the marvel universe since it's inception, I can say that this film successfully brings together an enormous cast, a remarkable story, twists that will keep you guessing, serious and gut-wrenching dramatic stakes, and an ending that left me both immensely satisfied and yearning for more at the same time! With a cast of this size, I was worried that the film would be confusing or bloated, but the directors jump from story to story in a way that is very easy to follow and each character gets at least one moment to shine! The antagonists of the majority of the previous entries in the marvel cinematic universe have been characters with no real deapth or motivations that don't entirely make sense, but the mad titan Thanos is quite the exception. Thanos sees himself as the hero of his own story and this movie does an excellent job of making the viewer understand why he does what he does and I empathize with him on some level. This movie has a lot of serious and emotional moments that would make sense for the most part if Avengers Infinty War was your first marvel cinematic universe film, but that being said, those moments are highlighted by context from previous entries in the series, and you would not have the same emotional payoffs you would if you possess at least a general knowledge of the marvel universe. Overall Avengers Infinity War is an excellent film that is not only impressive from its technical achievements, but also for, its superb cast and story that left me eager to see what will happens to earth's mightiest heroes.
