Pixel density and screen resolution are high, and the Windows Phone 8 operating system is present.
The Internet Explorer 10 web browser has been pre-installed, as have popular applications Facebook, Twitter and Picasa. The Nokia Lumia 920 4G delivers NFC (Near Field Communications) support out-of-the-box, and can act as a mobile Wi-Fi hotspot for multiple wireless devices. Corning has added a layer of Gorilla Glass 2 for scratch resistance.
The handset delivers excellent battery performance, with 17.0 hours of talk time offered from a single battery charge. Standby battery power lasts for approximately 16.7 days, and 1.0 GB of RAM system memory has been built-in. The handset also delivers 32 GB of internal storage, with an additional 7 GB of SkyDrive cloud storage present. The microchip package is a Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Plus MSM8960 chip set with LTE radio, and an Adreno 225 GPU is built-in. The rear facing 8.7 megapixel camcorder provides video capture at 1,080P HD resolution, with the front facing chat cam offering video call functionality.
