久しぶりです。最近更新してませんでしたがデザインも変えてまた頑張りたいと思います！
昨日はMorton’s Eveningという、伝統的な日でした。これはもともとドイツでできた記念日ですが、デンマークでもドイツと同様に、11月10日はDuckを夕食に食べる、というのが500年前から伝統として続います。
この由来は面白いです。約500年前、ドイツにいたMortonという男が兵役を逃れるためあちこち逃げ回っていると、ちょうどGooseの群れが歩いていたのでそれらの背後に隠れました。しかしそのGooseたちがガアガア騒ぎ始めたため、Mortonは見つかってしまいまったのです。Gooseのせいでビショップにさせられてしまった彼は、毎年11月10日にはGooseを皆殺しにして食べてしまえ！と叫んだそうです。しかし今ではGooseは食べるには大きすぎるし高いので、代わりにDuckを食べます。
捕まってしまったMortonは哀れだけど、べつにGooseを皆殺しにして食べるなんてそんな残酷なこといなくていいんじゃないかと思いながら食卓に着きましたが、Duckが意外とおいしかったのもあって心の中では「Mortonありがとう！」と叫んでいました（笑）

Yesterday it was a traditional day called Morton’s Evening. Though its origin was of Germany, there has been a tradition to eat ducks for a supper on November 10 for more than 500 years in Denmark as well Germany.
Morton’s Evening has a unique story. About 500 years ago, there was a man called Morton, who had been running away from military, place to place all around the town. He discovered a pile of goose there, and decided to hide behind them. But suddenly the goose began to make noise so loudly that he had caught there. Morton, who made to be a bishop because of the goose, shouted ‘ Every year on November 10, kill all the gooses and eat them!’ As a goose is too large and expensive, nowadays it is more common to have ducks instead. I thought it is such a gross story but as I set myself at the table and eat ducks, I realized Morton was great enough to leave this customJ
