these days when you are bombarded with hundreds of advertisements about beauty product, commercials about slimming products... it depends on the person but a higher possibility that the person would be convinced to try one. Who doesn't want to look good anyway?アップ. Everyone wants to look younger, wants their hair to be bouncy and shiny, their skin to be flawless, a high nose, perfect jaw line.. Girls are the victims of these! Well, you might say it's not but I believe that too much commercial exposure would make an individual (teenagers the most) feel bad about their looks. THats the reason why a lot of girls now are dreaming to go under the knife.. kyaaii.. either they want double eye lids or make their noses higher and smaller or the major operation for the jaw line.. WOMEN WANT TO LOOK GREAT!

It's already a "fact" that the self-esteem of woman is positively correlated with her physical appearance. We learn this since we were kids that women should be beautiful and gentle while men should be physically fit and strong. Though there are couple of changes now in our era, girls are still more prevalent in developing a negative self-image compared to men.
I'ts a social learning why do some girls have to suffer the consequence of a poor self-image. It's inevitable though, there are really things we cant control... Can we stop these thousands of advertisements about appearance? or the thinking of the many? like the THINNER THE BETTER! or the whiter the prettier???!!! gah! Im not against with these products, i do use some :D haha I wont be a hyposcrite, i ALSo care about my looks however I just feel bad to see some girls suffering and hurting inside.爆弾. Bet yah, I suffered years ago cause of a poor self-image (days of battle within myself). And this lead me to present a research about self-image in one of my psychology subjects. パー

I'm not also against with plastic surgey, but i believe its not the key to make someone feel good about herself. (some would feel good and its perfectly fine however some would still feel bad even after the operation---and that is something to be scared about). Talking about the different disorders a person could have because of an extreme negative self-image.

THis is something everyone should be aware of. Either as parents, as teachers, as friends, as a product endorser... We can't forget that self-esteem, self-concept, self-love, self-image are all essential to the developement of an individual. We should just be a little sensitive of what might be the consequence of our every action.

The question now is how can u help a person to stop from developing a poor self-image.... there are ways and there will always be ways.........

remember that feeling good is not an external factor but something we develop and feel inside.
