今日の表現。
「She wanted to introduce a pause into the conversation.」そうそう、introduceのそもそもの語感はこんな感じです。
「I can hardly stand the thought.」これも使えるようになりたい。
「Words did not come to her immediately.」Iを主語にせずにこう表現できる。
「…than your build would suggest.」見かけによらず、か？
「I've been waking a lot at night.」は、最近は夜が遅い。
「It's moving along.」最近どう？と聞かれての答え。「ボチボチです」か？
「Tengo went on thinking one gragmentary thought after another.」
などなど、今日もたくさん表現を拾いました。
