イアン・アンダーソン（Ian Anderson,MBE ）
出生名：Ian Scott Anderson
1947年8月10日生まれ、77歳。
スコットランド・ファイフ・ダンファームリン出身のシンガーソングライター、フルート奏者、ミュージシャン（フルート、ボーカル、ギター、管楽器）。
ジェスロ・タル（1967年～2011年）のメンバー(1967年～2011年)、リーダー、ボーカル/フルート/他を担当。
1967年、ジェスロ・タル を結成し、
翌年アルバムデビュー。
デビュー時から独自の世界観を築いており、セールス面でも英米ともに成功を収めて、
1970年代を中心に熱烈な支持を集めた。
1980年代にはバンドとしての活動が停滞する。
自身もソロ・アルバムを発表するなど、活動は散漫になっていく。
副業に専念するとして音楽活動からの引退を発表したこともある。
結局はバンド活動を継続し、独自の路線を進めた。
