Dear viewers of the Bluebell Project,
Over a year and a half has passed since the Great East Japan Earthquake hit the Tohoku region in Northeast Japan.
The members of "Blue Bell Project" do not possess any special power or wisdom to help those who have suffered in the region besides keeping them in our thoughts and in the thoughts of others.
"We are the World" called attention to the suffering of the people of Africa in the 1980s. In solidarity with the original concept of the song, and out of empathy for the people of Tohoku, we have recreated "We are the World" in every detail.
The Bluebell Project consisted of 51 people who gathered together to create to every single sound, voice and video performance in the original "We are the World" music video from scratch.
The final video is the result of our gathered thoughts and spirit towards the people of Tohoku and the expression of our gratitude for the help our nation has received from all over the world.
We pray for a rapid recovery for Tohoku and hope you enjoy this video.
