It's not until you are in a house filled with relatives, that you realize that it's truly the Christmas holiday. Until this year, we had our own home in Boston, now we are just visiting. In alternating turns, we once hosted the Christmas festivities - now we are being hosted. So, the question now - should we (or me) - sometime in the future, have two places; one in Boston and one in Japan?

Thoughts about toast & spam. Although both are foods you can have @ breakfast - one I'm talking about isn't. When it comes to toast, my absolute favorite is rye, followed closely by the Greek Christmas & Passover (Pashca) bread. It's not that I have toast all year - no! I have a rotating menu (seasonal - and according to mood, and occasionally weather). Toast is more of a winter food — and it's not just for breakfast. As for spam - it's amuses me, what shows up. I'm studying computer science, so I'm decoding a Firefox theme to learn how it's constructed - when I tweeted my progress, I got a reply (spam) encouraging not to work so hard (studying) and take the easy why out -- with their product.

Home for the holidays - well a relative's home! Built my first traveling network; 1 backpack; 1 gigabit 8 port network switch; 6 netbooks; 1 tablet; & 1 ups. The ups is placed at the bottom of the backpack, then comes 4 netbooks (the clustered server backbone of the network), the 5th netbook becomes the router with everything hooked up to the gigabit switch. The 6th netbook and tablet is what you use (the client-side).
