AS THE MARKET awaits the launch of Windows 8, hardware manufacturers are falling all over themselves to announce their future portfolios of devices that will offer the next Microsoft operating system.
One of these firms is Fujitsu, which announced in July that it would launch its Q702 laptop-tablet ( with battery such as Fujitsu LifeBook P250 Battery , Fujitsu Lifebook P5010 Battery , Fujitsu Lifebook P5010D Battery , Fujitsu Lifebook P5020 Battery , Fujitsu LifeBook P8010 Battery , Fujitsu LifeBook P8020 Battery , Fujitsu Lifebook S2000 Battery , Fujitsu LifeBook S2010 Battery , Fujitsu Lifebook S2020 Battery , Fujitsu LifeBook S2110 Battery , Fujitsu LIFEBOOK S8205 Battery , Fujitsu LIFEBOOK S8305 Battery ) hybrid device this Autumn.
Originally this was slated for a September release running Windows 7 with future compatibility with Windows 8.
However, the firm pushed the launch back to be closer to the launch of Windows 8. Now, Fujitsu will launch the Windows 7 version in late October and the Windows 8 model at the start of November, the firm told The INQUIRER.
We learnt this information having popped along to try out the Windows 8 version of the device at the IP Expo event in London, and we were impressed with what we saw.
Dave Shaw, a product marketing manager at Fujitsu, gave us a video demo of the device in action.
