Writing my blog in Starbacks is becoming my daily work. My usual order goes to coffee latte (tall size, 3.5 dollars)!
It was sunny here in NY, but the temperature was quite mild. Sadly, though, tomorrow's weather is expected to be rainy. Oh, my gosh!
I spent around five hours in the Metropolitan museum (MET). Of course, I ate out halfway.
As this was my second visit to MET, I thought I would remember many masterpieces I had appreciated around 15years ago. On the contrary I felt I saw every work for the first time!
I saw many works by many famous painters, Renoir, van Gogh, and so on. I bet you will be greatly surprised when you walk around the museum! Among them, van Gogh's works, manymof which I saw, made a deep impression on me. I was overwhelmed to see his thick and strong brushstrokes .
I was exhausted because I had been walking throughout The appreciation of art. However, when I enteredthe final gallery which I planned, I was so happy to see three works by Vermeer!
Furthermore, I had a chance to see another work by him, which I have never expected to see here!
After I left MET, I went to Time Square to buy some souvenirs for my niece in Desney shop. I bought a cute Micky which dressed itself in the statue of liberty.
When I visited Time Square 15 years ago, I felt so scared because there were a whole bunch of peole there, but I didn't feel scared this time, although I felt annoyed(^o^)
Tomorrow I am going to visit the Frick collection, where I can see some works by Vermeer.
Well, it is late, so I will go back to the hotel now.
