Diablo III: Molten and Desecrator

Molten:
Molten is a monster bonus that may appear on monsters groups. The monsters have an orange glow and leave fire and magma behind as they walk, which deals damage to players. They deal fire damage and after being killed they have a chance of leaving a fireball that explodes after a few seconds. Molten monsters have a 50% fire resistance.
Desecrator:
A monster with Desecrator trait creates a glowing void zone beneath the targeted Hero. The void zone deals damage to any Hero near it and the DoT can stack. This trait can only occur for monsters equal to or greater than level 22.
Some players have been reporting their characters dying incredibly fast to the Molten/Desecrator combo, so Blizzard decided to say that they're fine with it.
Question:
I would like to know if it's just me or does the molten affix do crazy damage? I have a lot of armor and a lot of resist. I will set the game to monster power 5 and go to act 3 and stand in plagued desecrator all day. I can usually face tank hulking phasebeasts and 1 or 2 arcane beams is no problem. But molten just melts me and it seems to be half the time it's not so bad and the other half I see my life drop really fast. Anyone else experience this? Working as intended?

We’re comfortable with the way both affixes are currently working, though, since many gamers are well versed in "don't stand in the fire" scenarios. Just keep an eye out for those ground effects!
Service Outage Information:
Blizzard has addressed the service outage that affected some players last night. The issue should be fixed, however if the issues remain check the links provided in the blue post.
Please do not worry about the disconnection. Enjoy the Diablo 3 gold and buy the rare items. Blizzard will try its best to help us!
