今年大学で論文を書けなくちゃならないわ。
This year I have to write a thesis for uni
「日本の動物のイメージと肉食の広告のこと」について書くつもり。
I'm writing about "The imagery (or anthropomorphisation) of the animal in Japanese meat advertising"
たとえば、元気なブタは人間にトンカツをあげる のようなこと。
for example, a happy pig serving pork cutlets to humans.
symbolismを研究したい。
I hope to research its symbolism.
でも！ちょっと関係ない！ 次の日本語を翻訳ができない。助けてくれ orz
but! this is a little off topic! I can't translate the next bit of Japanese. Please help >_<;
豚の子と豚の母が話している：
「おかーさん！この食べ物はなに？トトトンカツだよ！
ねーねー美味しいの？きっと美味しいよ・・・ドラマがあります。」
a baby pig and a mama pig are talking:
"mum! what food is this? its po-po-pork cutlet!
is it yummy? it sure is delicious! Its dramatic.
ドラマがあります？
英語で It is dramatic? なのか？
「ドラマ」と美味しいのことは関係があるの？ 多分、豚ちゃんはパパ豚のトンカツをいただくのか？
Is 'drama' somehow related to it being delicious? Or perhaps its because they are eating the papa pig?
I think Japanese is a very subtle language... perhaps too subtle for me! xD
