以前から作ろうと思っていた布絵本

I’ve always wanted to make a fabric book.

やっと作りはじめました

I have finally started making it!!

ボタンの練習、靴ひもの練習、色合わせ、数字、形などたくさん学べる知育布絵本

It’s an educational book that let’s you do things like practice how to button and tie shoe laces, and also match colours, numbers and shapes. 

この布絵本、英語でQuiet bookと言うんです

This fabric book is called “Quiet book” in English.

静かに遊べるおもちゃで楽しく遊ぶ本。

It’s a book that contains quiet activities to entertain small children.

教会など特に静かにして欲しい時に遊ばせる本。

It’s also a book used for special times, like church, when you need to keep children quiet and happy.

という由来があるそうです

Those are where the name “quiet book” comes from.

まだ1ページ目ですが、指先を使ってたくさん遊べる本を少しずつ作っていきます

I’ve only made the first page, but I will make a book with lots of exercise for finger tips.

完成したらまたブログにアップしますね

I will write about it again once I’ve finished making it!
