石炭を贈れ

オンラインファイル交換活動を行う非営利団体がRIAAなどにクリスマスプレゼントととして石炭を贈るのだそうだ。

なぜに石炭？と思って調べると、そういうものらしい。
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coalにはこう書いてある。

Santa Claus is said to leave coal instead of Christmas presents in the stockings of naughty children.

サンタクロースは、いけない子供の靴下の中にはクリスマスプレゼントの代わりに石炭を置いていくそうだ。
