亡き・明治４５年生まれの父・「梅田賢蔵」の新聞掲載の切り抜き！

野方警察新署長 梅田賢蔵氏
梅田新署長は、明治４５年生まれ、
東北は岩手県水沢の出身、
郷里の県立水沢農学校を卒業して
警察畑を志した変わり種である。
昭和十一年、青雲の志を抱いて上京、
田村町の警察学校に入校。
同年大塚署勤務を拝命、
このへの力強い第一歩を踏み出した。
その後、丸の内署（巡査部長）
--警察練習所--この間、特高パージに
ひっかかり、三年ほど現役を退く
赤坂署に復帰
警視庁渉外課--同公安三課--
警察大学入学--荻窪署（警部）
警視庁防犯課（次長）--
警視庁保安課--小松川署（署長）を経て
去る十五日、
野方警察署長発令となったものである。
梅田さんは署長就任の抱負を
次のように語った。
「中野におけるこれからの仕事は
泥棒退治、青少年犯罪防止、交通戦争緩和の
三点につきると思う。
１）泥棒退治
警視庁管内の統計をみると、
盗難原因の６９０％-７０％が鍵の不完全と
なっている。
各戸で、堅牢完全な鍵を使用すれば、
盗難事故は半減するわけである。
２）青少年犯罪防止。
前任地の深夜査察の経験であるが、
夜十一時、十二時迄、
巷をはいかいする青少年の数の
多さに驚かされた。
しかも良家の子弟が占めるパーセンテージが
相当高い。
これは家庭の父母、雇用主の無関心ということ
になるのだが、青少年を保護する立場に
ある人達は、ゆき過ぎの人権尊重思想、
誤った民主主義の考え方に惑わされることなく
いうべきことはいい、叱るべきことは叱り、
毅然たる態度で、基本的なしつけをおこない、
自分の監督下、保護下にある青少年の善導に
留意していただきたい。
３）交通戦争緩和
交通戦争安全にかんしては、いくら警察
安全協会などが必至に声をからしても
交通機関の運転者、歩行者等のしんの自覚に
またなければ、事故の減少はのぞめないので
あるから、一般の人々が日々、自分のこととして
真剣に考えて行きたいと思う。
おわりになっといっても、協力団体、
町会等地域の方達の
ご理解あるご協力を切に希望いたします。
酒も飲まず、煙草も吸わない梅田さんの
唯一の楽しみは果樹花きの栽培。
家では二男一女の良き父親らしい。
剣道は六段の猛者で、
各種対抗試合には、毎度大将として出陣、
優勝をさらったこともしばしばであり、
いまだに若い連中の先頭に立って竹刀を
にぎるというが、
犯罪、交通災害、乱麻を断つその
快刀にきたいしたい。
