No disrespect to big-ass sax loops, but the strength of Ariana Grande's "Problem" lies in Grande's smooth blending of her influences. At different points throughout the electric "Problem," Grande evokes J-Lo, Christina Aguilera, Jay-Z, En Vogue and the Ying-Yang Twins (!!) in her three-minute assault. It's easily carried by Grande's mini-Mariah pipes, and "Problem" helps her showcase that weapon in a new context. "Problem" bears all the hallmarks of a future smash, as if the future wasn't actually right now.
Because it wouldn't be an Ariana Grande single without a goofy rap-verse sutured on—see Mac Miller on "The Way", Big Sean twice on the near-perfect "Right There"—a particularly scatterbrained Iggy "Iggy Igz" Azalea saddles up with Grande for the leap. I'll let it slide. When you're moving off of Honeymoon Avenue, it's good to have friends.
めちゃくちゃ大きなサックスを繰り返し何度も弾くことに尊敬してしまうけど、Ariana Grandeの"Problem" の長所はGrandeに影響を与える洗練された一体感であるとおもう
"Problem"は初めから終わりまでエレクトロを感じ、GrandeはJ-Lo, Christina Aguilera, Jay-Z, En Vogueを連想でき、しまいには彼女が3分間の勝負をしている最中にあのYing-Yang Twins が(!!)参加してると言う
サックスをミニマライアのようなGrandeによってなんなく演奏出来たことにより、"Problem"は生まれ変わった環境での武器として彼女のショーケースに一役買うことになる
"Problem"は将来大成功する可能性を持ち合わせているようではあるけど、実際のところ今すぐに未来を変えることは出来ない
なぜなら、間抜けなラップに合わせることが出来ないなら、それはAriana Grandeのsingleとは言えないし、
"The Way"に関しては、Mac Miller を参考にしてもらい、Big Sean の2度完璧に近いラップをみせるRight Thereと比べると"Iggy Igz" と非常にソワソワしたIggy AzaleaはGrandeと共に乗り越えていくために前に進む準備を始めている
私は、2人が今後どうなっていくのかを流れに身を任せてみようと思っている
Grandeが新婚旅行に行く時、そんな友達を持てて嬉しいでしょう
