膵臓がんの発見は大変難しく、８５％が、手遅れの状態で見つかり、治癒率は２％といわれます。
その病で、伯父を失った15歳のジャック アンドレイカ君は、学校に通いながら、膵臓がんの早期
発見法を研究しました、８，０００種類のたんぱく質を一つ一つ調べ、その中からガンと関係ある
ものを４，０００番目にやっとみつけました、7か月かかりました。
更に研究、実験するには、専門の場所が必要です。 そこで彼は200人の大学教授や国立研究所に自分の研究成果とプランを送り、研究所の使用許可をお願いしました。
ところが、199人から手ひどい批判と拒絶の返事が来た中にただ一人の大学教授の協力を得て
研究が成功しました。
その方法はとても簡単で、しかも１００％確実、費用はたった３セント、かかる時間は５分、これは
従来の方法と比べると、費用は2万6千分の１、時間は１６８分の１です。
これからは、早期発見で多くの人が救われる事でしょう。

The early detection of the pancreatic cancer
Jack Andraka: 15 years old high school boy discovered a way of an early detection of the pancreatic cancer.
They say that pancreatic cancer is hard to be found.
Actually he lost his uncle by the pancreatic cancer 3 years ago, that’s why he tried to find the way of it.
At first he tried to find one protein which related cancer in 8,000types, he tested one by one, and 7months past after the 4,000 times test, he found the protein.
He wanted to experiment more and prove the result, then he sent the report to 200 professors of Universities and National institutes of health to ask to use a laboratory of them.
Only a professor accepted his wish and helped him, then he got success of his idea.
After all, the way of early detection of the pancreatic cancer
is discovered.
To my surprise, the way is simple, it needs a piece of small paper, the cost is 3 cents, the test finishes in 5 minutes.
Jack says
“This makes it 168 times faster, over 26,000times less expensive, and over 400times more sensitive than our current standard for the pancreatic cancer detection.”
At the end, he says to audience
“Let's think what you can do.”
I expect the younger’s talent for the future.
