We caught up with the celebrity stylist at one of the most glamorous soirées of the year - Cartier's 'Be Bold' party, during London Fashion Week.

For some of us, even a job in fashion doesn't quite translate as 'gets to dress up in gloriously OTT lewks every darn day.' A desk job is still a desk job, even if you get to attend the odd runway show.
But if there's someone who does spend a significant amount of time pondering outfits for red carpet premieres and fashion parties, it's stylist to the stars, Rebecca Corbin-Murray.
Corbin-Murray's day job sees her curating outfits for a bevvy of brilliant young female actresses, the likes of which include Lily James, Emma Watson, Shailene Woodley, Sophie Turner, Jenna Coleman and Naomie Harris.

And with a full range of VIp events under her belt - such as film premieres and awards shows like the Oscars and BAFTAs - we wonder, what makes styling for a fashion week party different to every other Red Carpet affair?
Catching up with her at one of the most high profile Fashion Week soirées of the London schedule - Cartier's 'Be Bold' party, celebrating the rebellious state of mind, inspired by the famous Juste Un Clou collection - we solicited her advice for crafting a look for such an occasion.

What sets London Fashion Week apart from the other cities?
I think London is a melting pot for creatives. A lot of big designers start in London - they get their inspiration here. It feels like in London designers have the freedom to express themselves and find their point of view.

How does styling for fashion week parties like this one differ from other events?
people have their own style vocabulary, but at fashion week, it's an opportunity to push that a little bit further. [The outfits we put together] are in keeping with their own style universe, but at fashion week you can be a little bit more quirky and playful.
Is it all about the accessories?
It usually starts with a look or a dress, and then we build on that. For big events, most of the young women I style love experimenting with jewellery. We still choose fine jewellery, but it's 'cool fine', or 'fashion fine.'

There is a time and place for the more traditional, timeless diamond stud, for example, but often when the girls feel really dressed up, they like to try and make the look feel cooler, so that's why we try layering up bits of jewellery or stacking things.

For the party, Rebecca wore bangles from the Juste Un Clou collection, Cartier Love hoop earrings and a selection of her own rings and ear studs.

What accessory are you coveting at the moment?
I still love a mule, as you can see. But because it's September, and summer is over for me, it's boot season. So I am scouring for the right boot to take me through the next ten months until summer. I love a Louis Vuitton boot. Every season I buy at least one pair. I put them with dresses; I wear them with everything.

How do ensure that you stay creative?
Instagram. I love the explore page. It's a great method for finding new and creative brands where this is their only platform. It used to be that you had to have your own showcase at the BFC space, but now you can be in your bedroom making something really cool and you can market and brand yourself exactly how you'd like to on Instagram. It's a place to be experimental and I take inspiration from that.

Do you have a secret tip for red carpets?
Diamonds shrink in pictures. Women can be apprehensive when you present them with huge diamonds, as they worry they'll look older than they are or be uncomfortable, but actually, when on the red carpet, diamonds can look so much smaller than how they feel in real life.
You’ll see it now when you look at red carpet pictures. For example, Dakota Johnson's long diamond earring [that she wore to the Suspiria screening at the Venice Film Festival] - actually that's a really big earring, but it works so well when you take a step back and look at the whole picture.

What is the one thing you always carry in your stylist's bag of tricks?
Fashion tape, because you never know when you'll need that. And a needle and thread. I have stitched so many people into things. So many random people - I'm just going around stitching everyone's outfits. Because it's real life, things can go wrong!

To get quality however, you have to be willing to fork out good money.
