My fun exchange life student in JOIN US

Helloヾ(＠^▽^＠)ﾉ, my name is Rima. I am an exchange student from Indonesia. I came to Japan on September 2010 and I'm going to study at Rikkyo University for 1 year.

Because one year period is really short, I want to use my time effectively to learn about Japanese culture and make friend with sudents from all around the world.

How lucky I am to find JOIN US. In this fun community I found a lot of friends not only from Japan but also from France, America, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, and many more.γ(▽´ )ﾂヾ( ｀▽)ゞ

One thing that I really like is in JOIN US we are free to use any language we want. This is really helpful, since my Japanese language is not so good, usually I have to use half-english half-Japanese to communicate. ( ´艸｀)

Not only learn English and Japanese, but on coffee hour I also can learn Korean from Leo Oppa's presentation.о(ж＞▽＜)ｙ ☆ It is a really flexible club in language.
Of course I like all of my friend in JOIN US, everyone is very nice and fun. We also love to share stories and experiences in coffee hour's "free talk".

A lot of interesting events were held by JOIN US. I participated in most of the events such as visiting yokohama, playing around chinatown, we also went to festival at Shinjuku, eat together in okonomiyaki party, halloween, christmast and new year party. Each event was exciting and becomes unforgetable experience for me(≡^∇^≡)

Exchange student life sometimes can be hard since we are separated from our family. but, because of JOIN US I never feel lonely.(*^▽^*) my friends from JOIN US prepared a surprise party for my birthday, special thanks to shihori & her mom for delicious and lovely birthday cake Love you

I also met my roomate from JOIN US! she is very friendly and so active. we still live together and I learn so much from her about how to spend fun and good time in Tokyo ≧(´▽｀)≦

Thanks to JOIN US for my precious half year in japan (＝⌒▽⌒＝) I will join JOIN US in the next semester and you should also join us

JOINUSとはなんぞや!

こんにちはー!JOINUS運営の古屋野祥子(こやのしょうこ)です!!

JOINUSができてもう約半年!

早いなあ・・・(゜д゜；)w

私も運営の一人として立ち上げから関わらせてもらっています!

もともと英語とか文化とか国際交流に興味があってこの学部、留学を選んだのですが、

なかなかたくさんいるはずの留学生と出会うきっかけがないのが現実でした。

でも!今はJOINUSで国籍に関わらずたくさんの♥友達♥を作ることができています(*^.^*)

日本でもいろんな人と関わってみたい、留学生だからもっと日本人の友達もほしい。

もっと友達ほしい!!

JOINUSはそれができる場所です☆

毎週のCOFFEE HOURだけでなく、誰でも自由にメーリス回して遊びに行ったりp(^-^)q

正式な入部とかそういうのも無いので、初参加の人もいつでもWelcome!なスタンスなので

初めてでも全力で大歓迎します!!o(^▽^)o笑

運営を始め、多くのメンバーが留学した(もしくは留学中)経験があるから、

異文化交流したい現地学生、留学生としての立場両方をわかってる。

だから、日本人にとっても留学生にとっても有意義な場所を作ることができるんじゃないかと。

これも強みなんじゃないですかね!(・∀・)w

それでもJOINUSは国際色豊かなので、まだまだ驚くこともたくさん。

けど自分とはめちゃくちゃ違う文化を持った人とも仲良くなれた( ´艸｀)

これってとてもいい経験だなーと思います!

話するのに飽きないし楽しくて!

だから1年生のうちからこういう場に飛び込んでいればなーなんて3年で思っちゃうわけです!笑

そんな経験をもっとたくさんの人にしてもらいたい、みんなに楽しんでもらいたいと思っています!!

Okonomiyaki Party

OKONOMIYAKI PARTY о(ж＞▽＜)ｙ ☆

Join us held dinner party at very cheap - all you can eat Okonomiyaki Restaurant on 22nd September 2010. All spot in restaurant are filled by JOIN US members Rock on Even thought we couldn't eat together on one table, every one was VERY HAPPY! What a Party! ヾ(＠^▽^＠)ﾉ

Our Japanese Join Us members taught an exchange student how to make Okonomiyaki, Lets start to eat! ≧(´▽｀)≦

No-meat table! Don't worry about your diet! Keep health and slim with join us

Be able to make your own Okonomiyaki and enjoy it with friends from around the world was fantastic. It becomes a fun and stomach-satisfying exchange student life experience (*^▽^*)
