I drew this as a light/shadow study in Photoshop. Yeah Prussia~ lalala~ ヾ(@°▽°@)ノ ヾ(@°▽°@)ノ ヾ(@°▽°@)ノ He's the best with his younger brother Germany. And the best with his bad friend Spain and France. I will draw Spain next.
Germany and Italy play a friendly match against each other on Wednesday! This means we get to see our loved boys play: Dear Jogi Löw, Philipp Lahm, Schweini, Podolski, Mario Gomez (!!!), Özil, Arne, Klose, Neuer, Müller, EVEVERYONE all in the same field! It's always a treat to see them all play together!!! o(^▽^)oo(^▽^)oo(^▽^)o No Ballack or Benni on the field though. HRM. I can't wait till Wednesday! I am going to a bar with a bunch of Germans that night so we can all watch. LOL This will be REALLY INTERESTING because Germany hasn't beaten Italy in a match in 16 years. The line-up looks REALLY GOOD... but is it good enough for Italy??
Philipp Lahm!!!!!! (///∇//) ドイドキドキドキドキドキドキ He's so hot *_________*
#2.) German guys are not exactly the most brazen men. At first I thought this was just coming from someone's opinion. I put this fact in the back of my mind just to experiment and see if it was true. I am starting to believe it now. I've had a random Italian guy kiss my hand and ask me to go out for dinner just because I gave him directions to a certain place. Spanish guys are pretty smooth. British guys will wink at you and buy you a drink. And NO, I'm not looking for a guy right now. I declined the invitation to dinner from the Italian but I did accept the free drink from the Brit before taking off for home. So far from what I've been seeing, European guys are so silly and funny in their own ways and it's really hard to take them seriously. German guys, as serious as they are, are no exception.
Actually, I find German guys to be the funniest of them all. It seems that the most an interested German guy will do is stare at you. They don't even hide the fact that they're staring at you. Sometimes you'll have a rare one that will go as far as to follow you into the same tram car just so he can sit/stand near you and and continue to look at you (AWWWWKWARD), but no matter how long you wait, he will not say a word to you. Actually the tram incident happened to me twice already---one was in the tram and the other in a train, so I don't know how rare these guys are. But why is that? I thought Germans liked to be direct...?
However, when they get drunk they are a bit more brave. But usually when I find a drunk German guy he would make a really good friend rather than a potential partner. Drunk German guys are actually pretty fun. But people tell me not to be direct and confess your love to him---- once he latches on to you he does not let go. I'll definitely keep that in mind because it's not something I want to experiment with.
#1.) Puntuality v. Promptness: I'm quickly beginning to learn that Germans, while admirable masters of time and punctuality, are not promt in making decisions and deliveries. The business world is no exception.
This drives me crazy as an American since we tend to have a "fast food pace" on everything and want things delivered and answers given on time or earlier. It will take some time to adapt to and trials to experiment with. On the bright side of this though: it'll teach me how to not procrastinate since I will be working on "German time".
Get ready for more of these kinds of posts as I continue to observe the German culture and lifestyle after 25 years of living in the States. Perhaps some of my interpretations are totally wrong, and if I am wrong, please correct me!
My PSP is probably my best friend right now. I can connect wirelessly and I can update blogs if I want~ Plus the charger is 120-240V, which means I don't have to worry about getting the European charger! But what brought us closer is this:
I was very sad to part with my PS3 because of the game, but now the PSP has it! Which means I can play Puzzle Fighter in the train too~
I am going to post all four versions of the Hofgarten Right now this is the winter version. I bet this place looks really epic during spring and autumn!
There's so much snow falling! After 7 years of nothing but sun and warmth and with maybe six months worth of rain (probably less than that, actually) within those years, I totally forgot how unforgiving the cold is. My bones were frozen and my nose was numb when I took these pictures, and I was only hanging out of the balcony!
Yesterday I went to B7 Sports Bar to watch American football. The Championships were on. I couldnt watch Jets vs. Steelers because it was too late. The Bears lost ( ̄∩ ̄# The bar was very nice; there were about 10 screens and 2 huge projectors.
I met someone who is an ROTC Marine. Amused and curious, I decided to pull out the two Air Force coins my sister gave me to see what would happen. As a result, he bought me a beer! Mohohohoho~ There is a rule that the US Armed Forces follow: If you're at a bar with your comrades, and you either don't have your coins or you have the least amount of coins, you have to buy everyone at your table a drink. It turns out he forgot his coin in the States. Always bring your coins. You’ll never know who you’ll encounter even if you’re abroad (`∀´)
