SHELL TO STOP INVESTING IN ALL CLEAN ENERGY BUT BIOFUELS AND CCS
Renewable energy received a blow at the beginning of the week as UK-based international oil company Royal Dutch Shell announced it would not be investing any further in clean energy technologies, with the exception of biofuels and CCS. In 2007, Shell said it would pursue investments in wind, solar, hydrogen, biomass and biofuels but would ultimately look to select one technology which it believed to be best suited to complementing its existing business.
