今日は先週行われました東京マラソンについて英語での紹介をしたいと思います。
今年の東京マラソンはハプニングもなく無事に終えることができたそうで良かったです。
◆Tokyo Marathon
The Tokyo Marathon is Tokyo's large scale city marathon held annually in February.The race starts at the Metropolitan Government building in Shinjuku and ends at the Tokyo Big Sight in Odaiba.
The Tokyo Marathon features a marathon race with approximately 35,000 participants and a 10 kilometer race with approximately 500 participants of both genders, including wheelchair users, and visually and mentally impaired athletes.
The application deadline for each marathon is during the preceding summer. Because the number of applicants always exceeds the number of spaces available by a large margin, participants will be determined by lottery, with results announced around mid October.
東京マラソンは毎年2月に開催される東京の大規模なシティマラソンです。レースは新宿都庁を出発して、お台場の東京ビッグサイトがゴールです。
東京マラソンは車いすや視覚障害などの参加者を含む男女約35,000人がフルマラソン、約500人が10キロマラソンに参加します。
マラソンに出場するための申込期限は夏の期間です。申し込み者が定員を大幅に上回るため、参加者は抽選で決定され、結果は10月中旬頃に通知されます。
追記 最近徳島でも走っているかたを見かける頻度が多くなってきました♬
健康に気を使って走り始めようとも思いますが、体がついてこないのが現状です・・・(笑)
