子どもの前で陰険な夫婦喧嘩は避けたいものだ。子どもたちは、たとえ見ぬふりをしていても、つぶらな瞳を通し、柔らかい皮膚を通して、鋭敏に両親の振舞いを感受し、それに感応していることを、つねに忘れてはならない。
Marital quarrels should be avoided in front of the children. Even if we pretend not to notice, children, through their round eyes and soft skin, are keenly aware of and respond to the behavior of their parents. We must always remember this.
