みなさん、お元気ですか。
Few weeks ago, I visited a Jain temple in Ranakpur.
数週間前、私はラナックプールにあるジャイナ教の寺院を訪れてきました。
It took two hours to go there from Udaipur by a motorcycle.
ラナックプールへ行くのに、ウダイプールからバイクで2時間ほどかかりました。
The name of this temple is Adinath Temple.
この寺院の名前は、アディナース寺院です。
Jain is a type of religion which is very similar to Hindu.
ジャイナ教は、宗教の一種で、ヒンドゥー教ととてもよく似ています。
But the main characteristic of this religion is harmlessness, in other words, "no killing".
しかしこの宗教の主な特徴は、無害であること、つまり、不殺生であることです。
So some of the Jain people don't even eat root vegetables.
ですので、一部のジャイナ教徒の人たちは、根菜類を食べません。
Because they want to prevent killing creatures living underground when farmers harvest those vegetables.
なぜなら、農家さん達が根菜を収穫するときに、地中にいる生き物を殺してしまうのを防ぐためです。
I was not able to bring my camera inside but this is one of the most beautiful temple I have ever seen.
私は、寺院内にカメラを持ち込むことができなかったのですが、この寺院は私が見た寺院の中で最も美しい寺院の一つです。
Inside of the temple, there are thousands of meticulous carvings on big white marble stones which are stunningly beautiful.
この寺院の中には、大きな白大理石に何千もの繊細な彫刻が施されており、驚くほど美しいのです。
All of the curving are so delicate and meticulous that I felt like some aliens made this temple long ago.
すべての彫刻が非常に繊細で綿密なので、大昔に宇宙人が作ったのではないだろうかと思ってしまうほどでした。
In my opinion, this temple is much more beautiful than Taj Mahal in terms of the architecture and marble art.
私の意見では、この寺院は建築と大理石の芸術という観点からして、タージマハルよりもはるかに美しいと思います。
