I decided to move out of my apartment room. My family has already found our new room, which is in the same apartment having my current room.
There are several reasons to change our room. To begin with, the rent of my current apartment room has increased significantly every year. About $100 per month was raised on July 2022, and the apartment management team told me the rent would increase by about $200 per month on July 2023. The value of living in my current apartment room has not changed, but the rent to live there has increased steadily and rapidly. I could not admit it and wanted to live in a better room by paying the same amount of that increased rent.
Secondly, my children are scared to live in my current room. My neighborhood living on the upper floor frequently hits the ceiling of my room. Of course, my family lives very quietly because we live in an apartment, but my neighborhood is too nervous not to hit the ceiling when he or she listens the noise of my children's walking. My neighborhood sometimes hits the ceiling at nighttime, waking up my children.
Moreover, my eight-year-old son wants to have his own room. Frankly speaking, I do not think he must have his room, but all his friends have their own rooms. Based on this situation, my wife also thinks my son should have his room. My current apartment room has no extra room to distribute to my son.
I checked other apartments and townhouses when I looked for a new room. However, if we move to different rooms or townhouses which are available to live in, my son has to change his elementary school. He loves his elementary school so much, and my daughter is about to go to the same school. Therefore, I decided not to change the apartment.
Fortunately, we could find the just right room whose rent is not so high and which has a room for my son. I have already contracted a moving company to move our furniture to the new room before moving from my current room. We are looking forward to starting to live in the new room.
