Seikosha Corporation" was founded in 1892 as a manufacturing division of Hattori Watch Shop.
In 1937, the watch division of Seikosha became independent and known as "Dai-Ni Seikosha Co”.

In March 1944, at the recommendation of the Army Arsenal, Fujifilm Corporation acquired Enomoto Optics Precision Equipment Factory, Inc. and placed it under its umbrella, changing the company name to Fuji Photo Optical Equipment Co.
Incidentally, this mark looks like the Chinese character for "light"（光）.
