サンディエゴの大学に通う4年生です。
今回は
アメリカでよく使われるコインの
25セントの魅力についてです。
（ページ下の英語版も是非ご覧ください！）
アメリカには主に
１セント、5セント、10セント、25セントの
コインがあり
その中でも25セントはよく使われています。
(主にと書いたのは
50セント、１ドルコインもありますが
あまり使われていません）
ここで質問です！
みなさんは
25セントには何十種類もあることを
ご存じでしょうか？
実は
コインの裏側のデザインが
一枚一枚違っているんです！😳
1999年から2008年までの間
"50 State quarter"という
コインの裏側に50州の名前と
その州を代表するようなデザインが
描かれているシリーズが
発行されていました。
例えば
カリフォルニア州は
ヨセミテ国立公園がデザインされていたり
ニューヨーク州は
自由の女神がデザインされています！
日本と違っていて
とても面白いですよね！😆
ちなみに、上に記載されている年代が
その州が設立（誕生）した年です。
カリフォルニア州は
1850年に設立されました。
以前、シアトルに住んでいた時に
幼かった私の弟は
夢中で集めていました！😂
そして帰国する頃には
全50州を集めることができました！
キャッシュレス化が進んだ今も
できるだけ集められないかなと思い、
現金を使って、収集に頑張っています！💪

I am a senior student at
a university in San Diego.
Today, I’m going to talk about
a trivia of 25 cent
that we often use in the U.S.
In the U.S., there are mainly
1 cent, 5 cents, 10 cents,
and 25 cents coins, of which
the 25 cent is the most commonly used.
Question time!
Did you all know that?
There are different types of 25 cents?
In fact,
each coin has a unique design
on the back!
From 1998 through 2008,
a series of “50 State quarter” coins
were issued with the names of
the 50 states and
a design representing each state
on the back of the coin.
For example,
California has
Yosemite National Park and
New York has
Statue of Liberty on the back!
Isn’t it so interesting?
When we lived in Seattle, my brother was a little, but he was obsessed
with collecting them
And by the time
we go back to Japan
we have completed collecting
all 50 states coins!
And I’m doing my best to
collect as much as I can
now that we’ve gone cashless!
If you have any extra coins at home,
I would recommend looking at the back of the coin.
You may be into it before you know it!
