02: Immortality
I've imagined of a couple in a long-distance-relationship and wrote a lyric for this song called "Immortality".
Although long-distance-relationship might make you think of something sad and heart aching, this song is singing opposite.
It's like an anthem saying "Let's concur this negative feeling! Because this love lives forever!". You see? it's all very positive. And it also contains a message that says "Every feelings, good or bad, positive or negative, comes within yourself".
I've never sang this kind of genre, so I've put much effort in to keep its tempo, how to improvise, and how to chill while singing.
「不死身」という、日本語でもあまりピンとこない言葉がタイトルのこの曲では、遠距離恋愛の男女をイメージしました。ただ、遠距離と聞くと、辛く切ない気持ちを想像すると思いますが、この曲は正反対。ネガティブな感情を飛び越えて、会いに行ってしまおう！この愛は永遠に続くんだから自信を持っちゃおう！という、とてもポジティブな歌詞なんです。また、負の感情も正の感情も、すべて自分自身から生まれているんだというメッセージも含んでいます。
今までにないタイプのテイストの楽曲だったので、テンポ感や、フェイクの入れ方、そして力の抜き方に気を使いながら、大切に歌った一曲です。
