年が明けたと思ったらもう12日ですね
I thought the New Year has just started, but it's already the 12th.
もう一週間も前の話しになりますが、1月5日は私たちの7回目の結婚記念日でした。
It's already been a week, but January 5th was our 7th wedding anniversary.
今年は土曜日に当たっていたので泊まりがけの旅行は諦め、
The 5th was Saturday this year, so we decided not to go on a 2-day trip.
どこへ行ったかというと、
And we went to
築地です。
Tsukiji.
実は私もブライアンもまだ行ったことがなかったんです
To tell you the truth, neither of us had been there.
築地に着いて、とあるお寿司屋さんに入り、飲み物を選んでいると、
We arrived in Tsukiji, went into a sushi restaurant, and looked at the drink menu.
突然、これが運ばれてきました
Then, this was brought to us.
7品盛り合わせ。写真では分かりにくいと思いますが、これ直径20センチくらいの入れ物です。

てっきり間違いだと思い、「い、いや注文してないですよ。」というと、
We thought it was a mistake, and said, "no, no, we didn't order this."
「あ、これお通しです」と言われ、びっくり
Then the waitress smiled and said, "Oh, this is your otoshi."
さすが築地ですね～
Wow, this is otoshi?! Tsukiji is surely different.
ワイン
はなかったのでブライアンはビール
They didn't have wine, so Brian ordered beer,
私は純米酒のテイスティングセットを注文。
and I ordered a pure rice wine tasting set.
お通しですでにお腹がいっぱいでしたが、16貫おまかせにぎりをいただきました。
I was already full from the otoshi, but we ordered a 16 piece assorted nigiri set.
その後は麻布へ行き、ワインバーでワイン
を一杯づつ飲み、After the dinner we went to a wine bar in Azabu and had a glass each.
六本木へ歩いて、けやき坂のイルミネーションを見て、
then we walked to Roppongi and saw the illumination in Keyakizaka street,
スペインバルでまたワイン
を飲み、went to a Spanish bar and had another glass of wine,
もう一軒のダイニングバーでまたワイン
を飲みwent to another bar and had more wine,
やっと満足して家路に着きました
finally, we were satisfied, and headed back home.
